New site & branding for La Chose agency

LA CHOSE
RÔLES : UI / UX
A new website for the agency

The definition of «la chose» is precisely not to have one. The agency takes the form of its clients, their problems, developments in society or new trends. This is how «la chose» create things to make people laugh, move people, raise awareness and engage people. This is how it is, an agency where everything moves, where nothing is set in stone and in which, ultimately, only one thing will have not changed since its creation: its independence.

Four years after its last redesign, the site is getting a new look again. This is the opportunity to reveal a new branding. More dynamic, made of glitch, «digital noise». It also reveals a new logo, animated, because now «la chose» is galloping. It is accompanied by a new typography: Druk wide, uncompromisingly bold.
The homepage gives pride of place to the creation. The agency's last 6 campaigns are displayed in full width. Thus, the user quickly discovers what's new. There was talk of posting a showreel here, but we wanted something simpler and quicker to update. We chose jpgs rather than short video sequences: we were committed to the eco-conception of the site, the glitches already brought enough dynamism.
Project grid

The project page brings together all the agency's campaigns. We display them in a grid, with a stretching effect when scrolling. They are interspersed with graphic “accidents” which add dynamism. Some represent «la chose» that gallops, others are winks : “stickers” used on the first site of the agency, when it was created in 2006, for those who remember. They are also used as wallpaper in our premises.
Project page

A case begins with the full-width film, followed by campaign information. The page continues with a free grid of visuals, in one, two or three columns. It ends by loading the next project. This allows the user to continue their visit without returning to the menu. A system of which we are particularly proud, as page loading is fluid and almost invisible to the user.
Agency page

The agency page is used to present «la chose», there is a manifesto, the management team, the logos of our clients and prizes won over the years. It also offers two links, one to a page explaining our CSR commitments, and the other presenting old historical campaigns which contributed to the agency's notoriety, but which no longer had their place in our recent creations.
